How tall can an ash tree grow?
My neck aches
when I think of looking
up through the thin, spring-
leafed branches all the way to the top,
where a hawk roosted two days ago,
eyeing my wife's house cats
as they prowled the front yard
and wrestled under the flowering dogwood.
