The Day of Continuity

Yes I agree that I’m a fool to step blithely
Off the edge of your archaic map O fragile
Country but how can I care for your reason
Without eyes your blind rivers put before
Shores of hazard I who throw my head
Once right once left then stomp my hooves
Just before I kick sunset in the smirking face
I suppose you could say that I am patient
As a stone pegasus stubborn as a long thought
Now my heavy wings lurch finally into flight
You should watch how I make the gale sob
O tenuous territory of my desire you should
Feel me touch the skin of your air see me
When I learn that nothing thwarts the wind
