When We Speak without Disguise

If we could be absolutely sinuous
As curved as sounds parting company
As rippled as small unpuddled waves
O to be euphonic when taking leave
Eschewing the tenor of estrangement
Phosphorescent thoughts and empty
Circles unruffled and barely visible
Residing in a place outside a place
Where everything is blue when it isn’t
White all color wiped away by our
Gestures we live the way we breathe
Moving always in front of ourselves
And our desires fine and light
Like a departure without cause
